Bruce has been the Australian Director/Representative of the ICEJ since 1991. Until his recent retirement, Bruce held senior management positions withing the Smorgon Steel Corporation and the Queensland Government Department of State Development.
Bruce is an Elder and church treasurer of Nexus Church (Formerly Northside Christian Church) in Brisbane and also a Director of Northside Christian College in Brisbane.
Bruce was married to Kay for nearly 40 years until Kay's promotion to Glory in 2004. In 2006 he met Merrilyn Rixon in Israel, and they married in December 2006. Merrilyn was married to Bill Rixon, former Member for Lismore in the NSW Parliament for 11 years and former Shire President and Councillor of the Kyogle Council. Bill was promoted to Glory in 2003.
Together Bruce and Merrilyn have 8 children, and 12 grand children.
Bruce has travelled to Israel on numerous occasions and with Merrilyn leads the annual Tour to Israel for the ICEJ's Christian celebrations during the Feast of Tabernacles. He has a strong desire to acquaint the wider church community with the richness of the Hebraic roots of the Christian faith, and its responsibility to love and support the Nation of Israel and the Jewish people, as commended in the Scriptures.
